Associate Executive Director at StepStone Family & Youth Services of Virginia, Cindy Davis, says we usually see an increase of kids going into foster care around November and December.
“Of course, they come in year-round, but it does seem to be that there is, tends to be, an increase around the holiday season,” said Davis.
In addition, if you are looking to donate some items, foster agencies say things like suitcases or duffel bags, hygiene products and pajamas are items that are always in high need– but often overlooked.
