StepStone Helps Siblings Find Their Forever Family

Jaeceon (J.J.) was removed from his biological mother when he was seven months old. He spent two days in licensed foster care and then was approved to be placed with his biological father. Due to no fault of his own, J.J had multiple stays in other foster homes and with other relatives. In January 2019, J.J was placed in foster care with Rob Stamper and Eric Westrick.

Jhaloni, J.J.’s sister, was initially removed from her mother’s care when she was a month and a half old and placed in a relative’s care. In December 2019, she was removed from that placement due to medical neglect and placed with her brother in Rob and Eric’s home.

For two and a half years Rob and Eric worked diligently with StepStone Family & Youth Services and other service providers to ensure the siblings were healthy and successful. They supported J.J by working on attachment, cognitive development, anger management and his verbal skills. They worked with Jhaloni to reach developmental milestones and improve gross motor skills and worked with orthopedic specialists to improve her strength.

Rob and Eric were unwavering in their commitment to the children and on October 12, 2022, Rob and Eric adopted Jaeceon and Jhaloni.
