The need for quality care for adults with developmental disabilities is rising in Arizona, making it important for us to find supportive, loving homes for our children and adults with special needs. We are advocates for children and adults with special needs as well as their caregivers. Developmental homes allow you to provide care in your own home/residence. They are specialized family homes for adults with developmental disabilities. Adults thrive in the individualized setting as opposed to living in a group home setting. As a developmental home provider, you will provide an adult with a stable, loving home. You will be their advocate. You will teach them life skills. You will make a positive impact on their lives.

In many states, the requirements for adoption certification are very similar to those for being a foster parent a home study and approval by the regional court system as a certified adoptive home. Families can be certified to adopt even if they have not identified a specific child to adopt

Children in non-therapeutic foster care are typically developing kids in need of a safer, more stable living environment. Working with StepStone ensures that their needs will be met and maintained.

With Respite Services, we recognize that being the caregiver for a loved one is a rewarding job, but a demanding one. And everyone occasionally needs some time away. Our Respite Services provide support and a chance for the entire family to recharge and renew.

The number of Native American children in foster care greatly exceeds the number of ICWA compliant homes available to care for the children. A Place to Call Home is dedicated to recruiting Native American families and ICWA compliant homes to become licensed and assist with ways to keep children connected to their culture.
