StepStone Helps Sisters Find A Loving Home with New Family

Savannah, age 2, and Ivy, age 19 months, had been removed from their biological home due to neglect. StepStone Family & Youth Services placed the girls with foster parents Dustin and Krista because of their experience working with babies and toddlers.

Both children were developmentally behind, exhibited tantrums, and had difficulty interacting with the family’s three other children. Dustin and Krista worked tirelessly with both girls to ensure they interacted appropriately with the other children. Savannah and Ivy struggled with motor movements and speech. Both girls worked with occupational and speech therapists and have progressed tremendously. Krista continues to work with the girls using techniques she learned from the therapists.

On March 4, 2022, Dustin and Krista adopted Savannah and Ivy, making them a happy family of seven.
