Foster Parents Jennifer and Jeremiah Neal Provide a Supportive Home to Children in Foster Care

Jennifer and Jeremiah Neal have been certified foster parents with Braley & Thompson of West Virginia for almost 10 years. When Jennifer opened her home to children in need, she expressed her desire to impact the lives of at-risk youth in her community and has served almost 60 kids during her tenure. The Neals have supported youth in emergency need of care, provided respite, and have supported the permanency goals of each youth. They are seasoned foster parents and often manage four teenagers at one time in their home!

The Neals effectively develop positive relationships with youth and have assisted in bridging many young adolescents into adulthood by teaching life skills and supporting their independence. When working with youth, Jennifer and Jeremiah view maladaptive behavior through a trauma-informed lens, creating a safe space. They assist youth in managing difficult situations from their past, as well as the challenges faced during adolescence by providing guidance and support. The Neals are patient, understanding, and nurturing to any child in their care and have served as mentors to newly on-boarding foster parents.

Regarding foster parenting, Jennifer states, “It is one of the hardest things I have ever done, but the most rewarding experience.” Braley & Thompson is proud to have Jennifer and Jeremiah as certified foster parents. Their impact on the lives of children in West Virginia is undeniable!
