About the Role
At StepStone, our therapists offer treatment from a trauma-informed, evidence-based, best practice model and individualize interventions for every youth and family we serve. therapists create customized treatment plans that act as a blueprint to outline goals/objectives to place youth and families on a trajectory of overcoming challenges and promote true healing and wellness.
Overview of Role Qualifications & Desired Skills
- A master’s degree in a human services field
- 1 year experience in child welfare services and a valid license in: LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, LPA, LPP
- Possess a working knowledge and understanding of culture and its function in human behavior and society
- Deliver services that are sensitive to client’s cultures
- Foster mutually respectful partnerships with persons served/their families with the goal of helping them gain skills and confidence to address issues they encounter
- Effectively and efficiently partner with other team members
- Possess a conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change
- Set boundaries while maintaining the helping role and intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the person(s) served or their family
Overview of Role Responsibilities
**The following list does not include all of the job requirements**
- Provide an individual and/or group therapy sessions to clients as decided by the treatment plan and document the sessions
- Develop psychotherapy plans with goals and objectives & serve as a member of the treatment team
- Provide consultative services to team members, when appropriate
- Complete all required documentation within 24-hour time frame regulation
- Appropriately provide family counseling sessions, individual counseling, and group counseling Abide by company policy when receiving a subpoena for records and/or court appearances
- Directly report any concerns to Statewide Treatment Director
