These connections and positive outcomes wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of professionals and currently, we are seeking therapists in Kentucky – specifically in Louisville and Morehead to join our team!

About the Role

At StepStone, our therapists offer treatment from a trauma-informed, evidence-based, best practice model and individualize interventions for every youth and family we serve. therapists create customized treatment plans that act as a blueprint to outline goals/objectives to place youth and families on a trajectory of overcoming challenges and promote true healing and wellness.

Overview of Role Qualifications & Desired Skills
  • A master’s degree in a human services field
  • 1 year experience in child welfare services and a valid license in: LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, LPA, LPP
  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of culture and its function in human behavior and society
  • Deliver services that are sensitive to client’s cultures
  • Foster mutually respectful partnerships with persons served/their families with the goal of helping them gain skills and confidence to address issues they encounter
  • Effectively and efficiently partner with other team members
  • Possess a conviction about the capacity of people to grow and change
  • Set boundaries while maintaining the helping role and intervene appropriately to meet the needs of the person(s) served or their family
Overview of Role Responsibilities

**The following list does not include all of the job requirements**

  • Provide an individual and/or group therapy sessions to clients as decided by the treatment plan and document the sessions
  • Develop psychotherapy plans with goals and objectives & serve as a member of the treatment team
  • Provide consultative services to team members, when appropriate
  • Complete all required documentation within 24-hour time frame regulation
  • Appropriately provide family counseling sessions, individual counseling, and group counseling Abide by company policy when receiving a subpoena for records and/or court appearances
  • Directly report any concerns to Statewide Treatment Director
